How not to do a fitness video

Hey fitness pros,

How are ya?  Good I hope.  Have you noticed that a lot of marketers are starting to use video sales pages lately?  Or combining long sales copy with a video at the top?

Well recently I came across a web page for a personal trainer who had a video on his site.  After checking it out for about 1 minute you could see that not much thought was put into it.  Now there was definitely time spent on it, but not much thought or review.

Can you see what you should not be doing?  I hope so…

Besides the Bon Jovi music, do you see what was wrong?  There is a lot text and picture fading, not a big deal right? Did you have a chance to read half the text?  Probably not because of how fast the scenes or slides cut to new ones.

This comes down to proof reading and reviewing.  After you complete your video or text, go back and re-read or view it.  Has this trainer ever reviewed his video?  I don’t know one could claim they have when the video was like that.

Next time I’ll show you how one personal trainer is using video on his sales page, and doing it the right way.

What would you do differently?

Wow yeah I thought it was just me not reading fast enough, but after reading that…haha yep not just me. And WOW seriously…bonjovi.

I would of been a great video if he had made 2 out of it and slowed the frames down. Not put so much text in the begining, spred it out a bit throughout.

Yes absolutely Carmel. Unless your marketing to speed readers, this isn’t a very good idea.
