Previously we discussed the basic steps of setting up your website (see here). In it we discussed domain name registration for your fitness website. We discussed nameservers and using the domain for your actual website. Mentioned was also registering domains for variations of your site, such as plural extensions. For example, your site name could be BigDaddysBootCamp.com, which is a great title and the name of your business.
However to prevent other people from stealing your traffic, then you need to register variations like BigDaddysBootCampS.com and other variations. Its a name that your business could be called, so you need to own it. However we are not adding it to our hosting account, because we already have our main site pointing to our hosting service.
So what happens if someone types in the url of your variation? Well you setup domain forwarding with Godaddy so that it redirects to your site. You can also use this strategy for affiliate marketing and hiding affiliate urls.
