Review of Urban Burn Bootcamp – 3

So far in looking at Urban Boot Camp we have talked about improving your headline area and making the best use of your testimonials.  In this installment we will discuss some of the copy layout, external links you NEVER want to have on your salespage, and how to make your bonuses actually make your customers buy.

You’ve probably heard everywhere that todays customer is smarter than ever. Because it is true.  So you’ve got to be on top of your game.  If your website looks shady, then those potential customers aren’t going to stay long.  In addition if your site doesn’t present itself well, then what does that say about your business.  I talked about the importance of design and internet appearance briefly here – Your fitness site could be losing you leads.

Recently its been discussed that people have three sites where they spend most of their internet and computer time: work email, personal email, facebook.  So you are seriously struggling to keep people on your page and revert them from seeing how their long lost friend from high school feels after last nights poetry read.  So lets get into this video and get some more useful fitness website design tips.

In this installment you were able to see:

  • Keep external links off of your site (how many times do we not need to say this!).  Especially do not place a Facebook fan page on your sales page.  You’ve just sent your customer back to one of their three main sites, and even though it was to your uber cool fan page, you’ve more than likely lost them to commenting on Bill’s BLT lunch update.
  • Spread your registration buttons around.  Don’t be afraid to have them sprinkled around your copy strategically.  Some people might not ever read your whole sales page, so why have only one button at the end.  Bob Garon of Synergy Kettlebell Bootcamps had that set up on his site before we did the revamp.  Now he has 8 action buttons.
  • Do you have bonuses? If so, no matter what it is, give them an image.  People need to see visuals. Hell I’ll look at a product salespage and when I get to the bonuses section look over at the image for that bonus. If the box, ebook, or whatever looks really cool, then my mind instantly thinks it is much more valuable.  If you just have some text on your page for your bonus, then you’re losing out.

So there will be one more installment of the Urban Burn Boot Camp salespage review. After that we will be reviewing a wordpress blog from another fitness professional.  That will be one you definitely need to see because too many blogs are making the same errors as that one.

If you see something that you agree or disagree with, please feel free to share in the comments section.

I used to have those items on my site and ever since I removed them I have definitely seen an increase in leads.

You can’t have those facebook links for sure!
